We are happy to announce that Tim Thompson has joined with us to develop a unique sound engine and user interface for the Lippens Keyboard.
Tim Thompson studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and Lowell. He worked for many years at Kurzweil Music Systems and designed analog and digital hardware for the K2000, K2600, PC2, PC3, Forte, and several digital pianos. He was also Director of Engineering at Kurzweil and managed Hardware, Software, and Soundware development. Tim co-founded Bricasti Designs and developed hardware for the world-renown M7 reverb. Tim is a member of the IEEE, Audio Engineering Society (AES) and is a member of the AES Standards Committee. developing audio interface and test specifications. He has 3 patents and has authored several technical papers. Tim has a strong background in analog and digital hardware design, project management, and has some experience with software development and sound design.
